I purchased the Vitruvi Cloud Humidifier on June 9 directly from their website, and it was delivered by June 13—the delivery speed is great. I opted for the humidifier starter bundle, which included a humidity sensor, humidifier filters, and the humidifier itself, for a total of $230. Before I dive into my disappointment with the product, I want to mention that I do love their diffuser.
Now, onto the main issue: pink mold growing inside the humidifier. I used the humidifier for a few weeks and followed their instructions to clean it once a week. The first week was fine and no sign of mold. However, by the second week, I noticed small patches of pink mold in the hard-to-reach areas inside the humidifier.
Since I don’t have a dishwasher, I cleaned it by hand as instructed. Unfortunately, it was extremely difficult to clean the corners and the circular area at the bottom of the tank. Even after letting it completely dry (which took about a day or two), the pink mold became more visible and harder to remove. I even purchased small brushes from Amazon to get into the tricky spots, but no luck. Eventually, I gave up using the humidifier altogether.
While I love the humidifier’s functionality, its design makes it incredibly hard to clean. That’s my biggest complaint; I wish they had designed it with easier access for cleaning. In the end, it feels like a waste of money but I still stand by their diffuser, which I really like.
